Hello my name is Adam Peters. I am the director of a campaign film about NHS privatization. I have a background in healthcare work and four of my eight years in this area have been spent working on NHS wards.
Four years ago I discovered a book in the hospital library by Professor Allyson Pollock ('NHS Plc') which was to lead me onto the interesting path I now find my self on. The message in this book, that the NHS is being dismantled and that in times of illness we will no longer be protected, alarmed me, and led to my decision to make a film to get the message out there to other people.
Working as a carer, I have been doing long hours to keep this project going forward, spending £12,000 of my own money. The project is at post production stage now, with 30 funders so far.
